The incident began when the victim was robbed outside a hotel within the Summerstrand area. She immediately ran toward the nearest security presence for help, where a panic activation notified Atlas Security.

On 15 November 2025, Atlas Security responded immediately to a panic alert from a client who reported three suspects breaking into a property at Hull Street. Armed Response Officer Bravo 57 entered the client’s premises, where he observed the kitchen door had been forced open. He intercepted and arrested the first suspect exiting the property.

Atlas Security’s Control Room received a phone call reporting two males trespassing at a residence in Garth Street, Scheepershoogte. The resident reported hearing noises near the gate area. When she went to investigate, she discovered one male inside the yard and another crouched near the gate.

Vehicle Impounded: CCTV Success

Atlas Security’s Control Room received real time alerts from our CCTV operators regarding a stolen grey charcoal vehicle from Newton Park on 11 November 2025. The vehicle was captured multiple times on CCTV cameras in Summerstrand and each time the Control Room immediately notified Atlas Security Armed Response Officers of its location.

October Crime Snapshot: What Happened in Nelson Mandela Bay
November 11, 2025
October saw a noticeable rise in crime activity across the city. After removing CCTV-related cases, a total of 548 incidents were recorded, up from 458 in September. That’s a 19.65% increase, driven mostly by theft, attempted theft, burglary attempts and vehicle-related incidents.
