The first full operational week after the Easter long weekend saw Atlas Security teams responding to 127 incidents across Nelson Mandela Bay betweenMonday 13 April and Sunday 19 April 2026. Activity was spread across 53 suburbs, with residential properties accounting for the bulk of call-outs and theft-related incidents once again leading the weekly breakdown.
Of the 127 incidents attended, 88 were at residential premises and 39 at commercial properties.
Theft-related incidents( confirmed and attempted combined) totalled 60 for the week, making up just under half of all operational activity. Burglary-related incidents added another 24 to the total, with 14 successful break-ins and 10 attempts disrupted.
Atlas Security also responded to 20 medical emergencies during the week, once again highlighting the broader role our armed response officers play in community safety beyond pure crime response. Robbery-related incidents remained low at 6 for the week, made up of 4 robbery of person incidents, 1 armed robbery, and 1 attempted robbery.

Wednesday 15 April was the busiest single day of the week with 25 incidents responded to, followed closely by Friday (22) and Saturday (21). The mid-week peak was driven largely by theft activity, while the weekend saw a more mixed spread of incident types including medical call-outs and vehicle incidents.
Walmer was the most affected suburb this week with 13 incidents, followed by Summerstrand with 12. Both are established high-activity areas within the Atlas Security response footprint. Sidwell and Heuwelkruin each recorded 6 incidents, while a further 44 suburbs each sawbetween 1 and 4 incidents during the week.
