Two arrests in a single night. Two suspects off the streets. That's what Atlas Security armed response officers delivered across Nelson Mandela Bay recently.
Uitenhage: School Break-In Foiled
At 23:23, a burglary signal was received at a high school in Uitenhage. Armed response units were dispatched immediately, with the first officer on scene within minutes.
A suspect was spotted on the property and a search of the area began. It was established that the suspect had entered through a hole in the perimeter fence and accessed the building through an open window on the second floor. Bravo 57 arrived to assist and heard the suspect attempting to flee. The suspect jumped from a window and was immediately apprehended. SAPS attended the scene and a case was opened.
Mount Croix: Robbery Suspect Identified and Arrested
Later that same night, Bravo 17 spotted a suspect in the Mount Croix area believed to be linked to an attempted house robbery two days earlier. The tenant was brought to the scene and positively identified the suspect as the individual who had attempted to enter her home. The suspect was apprehended on the spot and handed over to SAPS, where a case was opened.
Well done to Bravo 57 and Bravo 17. Two arrests in one night is no small thing, and it speaks to the dedication of the team out on the road every single night across Nelson Mandela Bay. Our armed response officers are on patrol around the clock, so you don't have to worry about yours.
