A blue Toyota Corolla had been linked to multiple thefts out of vehicles across ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ฐ๐จ๐จ๐ and ๐๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐, cases were piling up, and SAPS wanted it found.

Our Rapid Intervention Unit wasnโt about to let it slip through. When word came through that the vehicle had been spotted near ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐๐ฐ๐จ๐จ๐, Atlas Security Armed Response Officer Bravo 10 put shift A on alert. Within minutes, a spotter call came in from ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐ฆ ๐๐จ๐๐๐๐ญ, then again heading into ๐๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐, ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐๐ซ.

Officer Bravo 10 made the turn, caught sight of the Corolla, and stayed on it, and a call was made to bring in our second RIU unit to close the gap. The chase led straight into a scene already crowded with an accident and SAPS on the robots at ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฌ๐๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง ๐๐จ๐๐. Officer Bravo 10 flashed the vehicle down, backed up by Officer Bravo 56 on scene, and the driver pulled over right behind the waiting SAPS van.

The vehicle was handed to Walmer SAPS and impounded on the spot, taken off the road while investigations into the string of thefts continue.

The evening of 5 January 2026 delivered a clear message. Cloned vehicles will be found and stolen property will be recovered. Atlas Securityโs Control Room received information regarding a white vehicle to be linked to suspicious activity within the Walmer area. Acting without delay, Armed Response Officer Bravo 20, responded and located the vehicle stationary outside Sixth Avenue, Walmer.
