Greenacres Robbery Case Gets a Break

Yesterday, a jewellery store in Greenacres fell victim to a violent business robbery. Early this morning, thanks to the sharp eye of our Rapid Intervention Unit, both getaway vehicles linked to the incident were recovered.

While on patrol in Central, Bravo 8 noticed a suspicious black VW Polo with its passenger window open. On closer investigation, the vehicle matched the description of one involved in the robbery. Nearby, a white Toyota Etios, also linked to the case , was found abandoned.

Backup was immediately called in, with RIU (Rapid Intervention Unit) 2 and two Atlas Security area vehicles responding to secure the scene. SAPS arrived shortly after and both vehicles were towed as part of their investigation

Recovering these vehicles is a vital breakthrough in the investigation, helping SAPS to piece together evidence and track down those responsible. Atlas Security is proud to have played a role in this crucial step, and we will continue to support SAPS as they take the case forward.
