Teamwork leads to key arrest in Kariega
Last night, our armed response team, Bravo B19, was called out after a client spotted a suspicious white Toyota Corolla circling their home and tampering with the power supply. This type of activity has become a tactic in several recent break-ins in the area, so the report was treated with urgency.
Our team arrived quickly and began monitoring the vehicle, which was flagged as wanted in connection with previous house break-ins in the region. After tracking the car to Pongola Street, Bravo B19, working alongside SAPS and another local security provider, helped intercept the vehicle. There were five occupants inside. One suspect managed to run off, but four were apprehended at the scene.
SAPS discovered gloves, screwdrivers, scissors, beanies, and pepper spray inside the car, clear signs the group was prepared for criminal activity. The vehicle itself was impounded by SAPS, who have been monitoring it for some time as part of an ongoing investigation into multiple roof break-ins.
We are proud of the professionalism and quick thinking shown by our team in Uitenhage/Kariega, and grateful for the strong partnership with SAPS and other private security providers. Together, we are keeping our neighbourhoods safer.
If you see something out of place or suspicious, do not hesitate to call it in. Your vigilance, combined with our dedicated teams on the ground, makes a real difference.
