Accuracy of Information for Verification & POPI Compliance
General

At Atlas Security, protecting your property and personal information is our top priority. To maintain high security standards, it is essential that we verify the identification of anyone present on site during a response.
Verification Protocol:
When our armed response officers arrive, they will request the name, surname and contact number of the person they meet. This ensures that the individual on site matches the keyholders details we have on record and aligns with the POPI compliance requirements.
We kindly ask clients to cooperate with this process. If the information matches what we have internally, a courtesy call will be made by our operators to the specific keyholder to verify that all is in order and client met the armed response officer on site.
If the information does not match, we will need to make immediate contact with the listed keyholder or client to verify that the person is allowed on site. If a person on site cannot be verified as a keyholder or a trusted contact and their presence seems suspicious, our armed response officers may request that they leave the property. Before taking action, the armed response officer will assess the property for forced entry and ask relevant questions to satisfy themselves of the situation.
Client Responsibilities:
- Keep your phone accessible and respond promptly to verification calls.
- Inform us of any changes to keyholders or if someone else will be occupying your property temporarily (house sitters, going away on holiday)
By working together, we ensure a secure environment built on accuracy, transparency and trust.
