Theft Prevention Leads to Arrest at a Primary School in Kariega

Atlas Security's swift response led to the successful arrest of a suspect at a primary school in Kariega in the early hours of 6 January 2025. This came after multiple theft incidents had been reported at the school over the past week.
At 00:51, the client reported spotting a suspect on CCTV inside the school yard. Atlas Security teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, our response officer successfully located and detained the suspect near the water tanks on the left-hand side of the school property.
The client was promptly advised to meet with our Armed Response team to provide further assistance.
Shortly afterward, the South African Police Service (SAPS Kariega) arrived on the scene. The suspect was arrested and charged with business burglary and possession of break-in equipment.

Earlier today Atlas Security’s Control Room received a panic signal from a residential premises. Upon arrival, our armed response team made contact with the property owner, who confirmed a positive incident in progress. The armed response officer promptly relayed updates to the Control Room and requested backup assistance. Bravo 11 and our RIU vehicle unit were dispatched and arrived shortly thereafter.
