Swift Response Leads to Arrest in Greenshields Park

Crime

A swift response by Atlas Security resulted in the arrest of a suspect following a break-in at a residence in Greenshields Park.

The incident occurred at Thrush Road, where a suspect gained entry by smashing the large lounge window, which had no burglar bars. Once inside, the suspect attempted to disable the security system by ripping out the alarm keypad. However, Atlas Security’s control centre promptly received signals from the compromised system and dispatched armed response.

Bravo 123 arrived swiftly at the scene, catching the suspect red-handed inside the house. Acting decisively, our armed response officer restrained the suspect while awaiting SAPS to arrive and officially charge him. Thanks to the efficiency of our alarm monitoring and response teams, the suspect was caught before any valuables could be stolen, resulting in no loss for our client.

In the aftermath of the incident, a glass fitment service provider quickly replaced the broken window, and Atlas Security’s technical team restored the alarm system to ensure the client’s security was fully reinstated.

This arrest is a testament to the vigilance, rapid response, and effectiveness of Atlas Security. The seamless coordination between our control centre and armed response officers ensured a fast reaction time, preventing any losses and securing an arrest. Our proactive approach and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the community ensure that criminals have no place to hide.
