Attempted Break-In in Fernglen
In the early hours of 20 February, Bravo 150 responded to an attempted break-in at a residence on Whitney Avenue. The homeowner reported that she was working in her back garden when she heard movement behind her. Upon turning around, she saw an unknown male standing near her.
Reacting quickly, she exited the yard and attempted to keep the suspect within the premises until the response team arrived. Upon arrival, Bravo 150 successfully apprehended the suspect. Further investigation revealed that the suspect had taken some poly-woven bags from an outdoor storage area and had been using a bush area at the back of the yard as a makeshift shelter.
The homeowner was uncertain how long the suspect had been staying on the property but confirmed that no visible damages had been done. SAPS arrived on the scene and escorted the suspect back to his residence. The client chose not to open a case, and the response team was excused from the site.
