BUSINESS BREAK-IN STOPPED IN ITS TRACKS: SWARTKOPS

On the evening of 23 December 2025,Atlas Security’s Control Room detected suspicious movement via live CCTV monitoring at a business premises in Swartkops, triggering a swift, coordinated response.
Live CCTV footage revealed a male dressed in dark clothing moving around the guard house, before entering the premises and sprinting toward the factory roof. Moments later, Bravo20 confirmed that the suspect was seen climbing onto the roof and lifting roof sheeting, confirming a business break-in in progress.
Within minutes, our Armed Response Officers and Rapid Intervention Units were dispatched, while CCTV operators continued real-time playback and tracking to guide teams on the ground.
Further investigation confirmed that the suspect had gained entry through the roof, exploiting damage from a previous break-in and moving through the ceiling area of the factory.
The suspect was located and detained inside the building by Atlas Security’s RIU team, before any major damage or theft could occur.
SAPS was immediately notified and attended the scene.
This incident once again proves that crime doesn’t stand a chance when technology, vigilance and rapid response work together. Live CCTV monitoring, decisive Control Room action and fast, coordinated Armed Response and RIU deployment stopped a business break-in in real time.
