Arrest: Uitenhage

Atlas Security’s Control Room received a phone call reporting two males trespassing at a residence in Garth Street, Scheepershoogte.

The resident reported hearing noises near the gate area. When she went to investigate, she discovered one male inside the yard and another crouched near the gate.

Atlas Security Armed Response Officer Bravo 49 confirmed that he met the client on site. Atlas Security’s Uitenhage Area Vehicle responded promptly and located both suspects provided by the resident.

SAPS Crime Prevention Unit arrived shortly thereafter and joined the response on scene.

SAPS took both males into custody for further investigation.

This incident highlights the swift actions between Atlas Security and SAPS, prompted by the timely phone call to the Control Room. Ensuring the safe handling of the suspects and protected the resident from potential harm or loss. The coordinated armed response officer helped prevent the situation from escalating further.

Atlas Security - February Report 2026

February 2026 saw Atlas Security respond to 378 incidents across Nelson Mandela Bay, reflecting a notable increase on the 258 incidents recorded in January. Theft-related crimes remained the dominant crime, while medical emergencies and burglaries also featured prominently. Despite the higher incident volume, our teams effected 27 arrests during the month, with all suspects handed over to SAPS.
