Exciting news for South End! Atlas Security is thrilled to launch the South End CCTV Project, taking safety in our area to a whole new level. Our team on the ground has been doing an incredible job with Armed Response services, and now we're adding virtual eyes on the ground for a powerful new layer of proactive security.

These are analytical human detection cameras. Within set parameters, they detect human movement and send an instant alert to our control room. Our CCTV operators assess the activation and dispatch Armed Response to the scene if the movement looks suspicious.

‍

The goal? Stop crime before it happens. We call this "nudging". Once people with criminal intent realise Armed Response could show up any time they move through the streets at night, the risk becomes too high, and they move on elsewhere.

‍

This is a community solution, so it's open to everyone, not just Atlas Security clients.

‍

Costs:

‍

A monthly contribution covers the running costs, with a 3-year contract for contributors.

‍

Open to both current Atlas clients and residents aligned with other security providers.

‍

• Atlas clients: R100 per month
• Non-clients: R135 per month

‍

Here's the good news: for every 15 people who sign up, we put up a pole! The pole locations are already identified, and each one goes up at the site closest to where the 15 sign-ups come from.

Atlas Security's CCTV Network is already delivering real results in Lorraine, Walmer, Charlo, Springfield, Mill Park and Greenacres, and we're excited to bring the same results to South End.
